Beginning at 10 am on 9 June 2024, I completed the Strathearn Marathon, running unofficially 26.24 miles in 4:51:55 , with an average pace (minutes:seconds/mile) of 11:08. The race began and ended in the Cultybraggan camp, just outside of Comrie, Scotland. The course was hilly. The plus was that the route was on paved roads. The volunteers were enthusiastic. Even the people along the route were warmhearted. One gentleman – I was pretty sure he was not a volunteer nor was he part of the race organizers – passed out strawberries from the boxes he bought from the store!
